On 4 March 2026, volunteers from the Heart of Unity and Tolerance Foundation (The HUT Foundation) continued the school visitation project with a stop at New Frontiers International Academy, Jikwoyi, Abuja, where they engaged over fifty pupils in a session on patriotism, ambition, and kindness.
The conversation was framed in a way the pupils could easily relate to, encouraging them to see success not just as a personal goal but as something that can make Nigeria better. Through simple stories, interactive questions, and brief role-play moments, the pupils explored how everyday actions can shape both their and the nation’s future.
To bring this idea to life, the volunteers highlighted inspiring Nigerians such as Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, and Wole Soyinka, showing how dedication and integrity can make the country proud on the global stage.
The session also featured a quick interactive segment where pupils identified “kind” and “unkind” behaviours, reinforcing the importance of empathy in their daily interactions. This flowed into a quiz where pupils answered questions about Nigeria’s coat of arms, its meaning, and basic geography, with enthusiastic participation from all the students.
The visit ended on a high note with a shared reflection, as the pupils were reminded that being patriotic begins with small, consistent acts that will lead to a better country.
